Privacy notice: feedback and keeping you posted

When this applies. When you answer the optional question we show on the buy page, after a "report missing" request, or in your account, and when you tick 「Keep me posted」.
What we keep.
- the page you answered on;
- the boxes you ticked;
- what you wrote;
- the day.
What we don't keep.
- We don't store your account, your IP address, your company or the time of day with your answer.
- If you add your e-mail address, we keep it with your answer, and we use it only to reply to what you wrote.
Why, and on what basis. To understand what makes a report worth buying, or not, and to improve Clacta. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving our service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you give us your e-mail address so we can reply, we use it because you asked us to (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
If you tick 「Keep me posted」. We keep:
- that you agreed;
- the exact wording you saw;
- where you ticked it;
- when you confirmed your e-mail address.
We use your address to e-mail you about the checks you asked for and about Clacta's other checks, and to ask for your feedback, until you withdraw your consent. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
You can withdraw it at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any of our e-mails, reply "stop", untick it in your account, or write to info@fsfmgmbh.com. We then stop, and keep your address only on our do-not-contact list, so that we don't write to you again.
We keep the record of your consent for three years after the end of the year in which you withdrew it or we last e-mailed you, so that we can show you agreed. Then we delete it.
If you ticked 「Clacta may e-mail me once to ask for my feedback」 (before 23 October 2026). We keep:
- that you agreed;
- the exact wording you saw;
- where you ticked it;
- when you confirmed your e-mail address.
We use your address to send you one e-mail asking for your feedback, and nothing else. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
You can withdraw it at any time: untick it in your account, use the unsubscribe link in that e-mail, or write to info@fsfmgmbh.com.
We keep the record of your consent for three years after the end of the year in which you withdrew it or we sent the e-mail, so that we can show you agreed. Then we delete it.
Who handles it. Our database (Supabase, EU) and our servers (Hetzner, Germany). Our e-mails are sent by Resend, Inc. (USA), as our processor; it relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We don't pass your answer to anyone else.
How long. We delete each answer, and the e-mail address with it, 12 months after the day you gave it.
Your rights. You can ask for access, correction or deletion, and you can object at any time: write to info@fsfmgmbh.com. You can also complain to a supervisory authority. Details are in our main privacy policy.
